Why does a game get annulled when you are on a streak ahead of your opponent and it is their table; can they do this in their settings, or is there something they are doing because they are losing?

In reply to the above comment about 'annulled' games, it seems there are some opponents who disconnect from the game when you are winning, then rejoin the game. At that point, it looks like their timer is running down, but actually it is yours. You time out, they 'take the win' and the game is annulled. If your opponent disconnects and rejoins, it's best if you also exit the game and rejoin to avoid the cheat.
Just fix it!

I just experienced what Twitcher is describing. I did nothing wrong, my connection was solid and my opponent was losing 96-80, my crib. My opponent “loses connection”, countdown to move begins and without the choice of waiting, taking the win or abort…the game gets annulled. I’m out the winning tickets. Please fix this where it’s a mandatory loss if you leave any table prior to 121 (by choice or bad connection), especially game played for tickets.

At GameColony.com you can play games of skill only -- play for free or play for $prizes!.
According to the statutes of most states in the United States, gambling is defined as: "risking something of value upon the outcome of a contest of chance". (Also see No Gambling!). The skill (as opposed to chance) is predominant in games of skill. Playing games of skill for $prizes, therefore, has nothing to do with gambling as it is not a contest of chance -- the more skillful player will win far more often. The chance element of a 'gamble' is either insignificant or missing. When players compete in tournaments or games of skill for $prizes -- it is "competitive entertainment" rather then "gambling". The more skilled winner will always win more matches, tournaments and $prizes.
